Hi guys! You may be thinking to yourselves, “Wow, those girls in that picture look a lot alike.” Yes we do! In fact, we are identical twins. We are both 21-year-old college students from Oceanside, New York. Sam Febrizio (on the left) attends Adelphi University for Business and Emily Febrizio (on the right) attends Pratt Institute for Interior Design. Many people have asked us how we came up with the idea for Ocean Spirit and, to be honest, it was like a spark hit us; I guess you can say it was an epiphany. Sam was sitting in Anthropology 101 class one day, doodling away while day dreaming about the beach when suddenly the idea hit her.  Why not take her passion of the beach and art and create something bigger, something that can make a difference? Needless to say, she did not remember anything she learned in class that day, but she survived. After tossing around endless ideas and sketching designs for logos and names, we fell in love with Ocean Spirit. What better name for two free spirits with a love for nature and the ocean? After dreaming about one day starting up this business, we said to ourselves, “Why not make this dream a reality?”  We immediately hit the drawing board; we created designs, a Facebook page and an Instagram account, and now, we are all in. We are proud to see a dream turn into reality and it has been nothing but exciting from the beginning! We are excited to see where Ocean Spirit takes us in the future! Hope you ride the wave with us!
